  1. The Belfast Exhibition was most enjoyable. Attached are a few photos of the event:
  2. Wexford Library have published their listing of events for August including the launch of "Rails Through Wexford". You will need to book a place to attend at: https://wexfordcoco.libcal.com/event/4067245 (only 38 places left - this could be a popular event!).
  3. Many of you will have seen the beautiful new book "Rails Through Wexford" by Jonathan Beaumont (jhb171achill of this parish) and Barry Carse. The book, which is published by Colourpoint Books, will be launched at Wexford Town Library on Friday 25th August 2023 at 11 am. The authors will be providing a talk and slide show on the subject matter. After that there will be time for questions and for book signings. Wexford Library usually requires participants to register on-line for their events (www.wexfordcoco.ie/libraries). Details will be provided as they come to hand. Wexford Model Railway Club CLG is pleased to have been in a position to assist with setting up this launch event. The club are custodians of two fine OO gauge layouts based on the South Wexford line: "Rathmichael" and "MacMine Junction" both built by renowned modeller John Walker. The scenic sections of these layouts will be available to view at the clubrooms by appointment after the book launch. Rails Through Wexford AI.pdf

  5. Hello everyone, Wexford Model Railway Club CLG is pleased to announce that it is planning for a one-day Autumn Exhibition on Sunday 8th October 2023. Invitations will issue shortly but feel free to contact us if you have a model railway layout that you keen to show to a discerning audience!
  6. Worth a try. Unfortunately, Richard Marsh is no longer supplying the shunter's pole. I have found these very effective with my new O Gauge layout "Buffers Lock" shown at the Wexford May Exhibition and booked for the Belfast Exhibition in August 2023.
  7. Many thanks for your kind comments. WMRC have strived since 2009 to run two exhibitions a year and learn from each one what works well.

  9. I am honoured that "Buffers Lock" was awarded Best Layout - the Jim Kearns Memorial Award - at its debut exhibition in Wexford!
  10. Thanks to everyone who came along. We had an excellent turnout and people were more than generous with their donations. Looking forward to doing it all again on the 9th October 2023 for a one day event!
  11. A few views of the debutante at the Wexford MRC Exhibition 2023: This is the first time all four boards were up together (insufficient room at home) but it provided a learning curve for mimicking prototypical operations. BTW great turnout for the show and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
  12. Thanks Leslie. Wexford MRC are planning an Autumn Exhibition on Sunday 8th October 2023 so we might see you represented at that!
