Broithe Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 (edited) I picked this up at a boot sale a few years ago and I might finally have a go at it over the winter. I'm not sure how old it is, but it does have a sticker on for a fiver, however, that could have been applied at any point this side of 1971. It is simply printed card, no die-cutting - hence the handy scalpel, with a Swann Morton No 10 blade - they omitted to include any plasters. There are eight and a half sheets, with the buildings printed on all walls, so they can be arranged in multiple forms, subject to small amounts of roof surgery, as applicable. The outside edges won't be that hard, but all those window apertures is not something to look forward to. The windows are also printed-on-card, rather than actually transparent sheets, but pictures of the assembled items look generally OK. Edited September 23, 2021 by Broithe 4 Quote
Galteemore Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Should be a nice little project. Those card kits eat blades though so a spare stash of SM blades would be handy ! 1 Quote
Broithe Posted September 23, 2021 Author Posted September 23, 2021 I'm not short of blades, Blud. It strikes me that, it not being die-cut from the front, I might be able to avoid the 'exposed corner' issue that modern Metcalfe kits have? Quote
jhb171achill Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 I've a pile of these things which I got in a house clearance - I'd pass them on for whatever it costs to post them, or a token donation...... 2 Quote
Colin R Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Hi Jhb do you still have any of these kits left or have they all gone to a new home? Colin Quote
