Westcorkrailway Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Time for a some live steam news. We've added the Accucraft ‘KATHLEEN’ & ‘LADY EDITH’ Cavan & Leitrim 4-4-0T to the website for pre-orders! These distinctive 4-4-0s will be 15mm scale Live steam and come with all the features now expected from a Accucraft Model. Available in 6 options, you can register your interest by using the form attached to the webpage! Kathleen/Lady Edith - https://shop.bowatersmodels.co.uk/collections/accucraft-pre-orders/products/accucraft-kathleen-lady-edith-cavan-leitrim-4-4-0t-pre-order Now onto the more interesting one, we're doing market research regarding the possible production of 1 (hopefully 2) live steam engines in Gauge One! Both for Northern Counties Committee Prototypes. These being the NCC WT and NCC W Classes. Both would be available in prototypical liveries and would be fully working miniature steam engines in 1:32 scale. There is no pricing yet as we're only at the research stage at this time. However we will state Rolling Stock for these is already in development and will be out later in 2023. For more information and to register interest, please visit the link below! And before anyone comments, yes we know the W Class picture is of number 4. Trying to get licensable W class photographs is surprisingly hard. Mayner Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 The C&L 4-4-0T was originally announced by Accuracraft UK in 2019 but seemed to have disappeared off the radar during the past 3 years with the Lawley and a number of British outline locos jumping the queue. It looks like the loco may actually appear this time Accuracraft are accepting pre-orders on their main (USA) site. I placed an expression of interest in a C&L 4-4-0 with the local distributor in 2019, it will be interesting if they follow up. 1 Quote
angr607 Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 Hi, Finally got my account working again so I can post. I'm Jon from Bowaters Models. The C&L 4-4-0 is a Accucraft UK project that we included to try to gauge some additional interest in it to allow it to go ahead as the minimum number of orders for it to proceed hasn't been reached yet. The W and WT are projects that would run perfectly alongside our existing plans for a range of Irish stock including GNR(I), NCC, GSWR, CIE and UTA along with matching engines. We already have a Class 071 at prototype stage with a 141 and 611 following on. The plan is to release a set of coaches and the engines at the same time (hopefully a separate section of this fine forum might be able to be arranged for such a announcement) all in Gauge 1 1:32 Scale. There are some compromises to allow for compatibility (UK G1MRA standards for couplings and buffers for example) but hopefully it won't be long until some news can be shared on those. To access the interest form direct, use this link - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdjPPCb-CkpakySCOJE0pdu9nXzw50LW--INKDXXR6DH9shqQ/viewform Obviously, any other questions, do let me know!
