Popular Post popeye Posted December 10, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 10, 2023 This is a NIR Flat bogie wagon to transport rail with two small cranes to lift the rails on & off the wagon. made from an old Hornby car transporter wagon I have had for many years. A new floor and sanctions added and the 2 cranes are hand made. Plus a little CIE 4 wheel flat wagon (Hot topic) made from bits of wagon kits. 23 1 Quote

Gabhal Luimnigh Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 That's a great job Popeye, well done you, two lovely models. Quote
Westcorkrailway Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 On a real note does anybody have some good alternatives to IRM’s LB flats. For my Ford train I’ll have 3 bullied flats but I want a few other types mixed in (because as mayner said the LB flats were far far outnumbered by older types) Quote
David Holman Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Fine models, neat weathering and do I detect a lovely prototypical slight sag in the middle of the bogie? Certainly works for me. Quote
popeye Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 Thanks guys, I put this post in the wrong place, so I will post it again in my workbench thread. There might be a slight sag in the middle caused by me gluing a new floor on and didn't notice the bend until it was to late. 1 Quote
David Holman Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Very subtle, but it just looks right with at heavy load on. 2 Quote
