Good afternoon,

Can I ask for assistance in identifying this loco?

Might it be a GSR Class D14 / GS&WR Class 60 4-4-0?

Looks to be a D17, no.94

You beat me to it! Yes, looks like that. Double smokebox doors so possibly 1915-35 period? It has that look about it but could also be outside that period.

Photo likely to be pre-1934 .No 94 was a 60 Class/ D14 rebuilt with superheated boiler and belpair firebox 1934 transforming its appearance.

Main spotting difference between 60 Class -D14 & 52 Class D17 viewed head on was that 52 Class were fitted with a raised firebox while 60 Class had flush boiler and smokebox.

Interestingly at least one 52 Class retained double smokebox doors in CIE days.
