Broithe Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Have we really never discussed this layout? It doesn't come up in a search for me. http://www.3mmsociety.org.uk/MemberLayouts/Ballyconnell%20Road/BallyconnellRoad.htm I see that it is due at my local exhibition in February. http://www.staffordrailwaycircle.org.uk/exhibition.php Quote
Mike 84C Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I saw it at Newark this year and loved it. A 3mm 0-6-0 with working inside valve gear and crank axle, pure craftsmanship. And it ran faultlesly while I was there. Mike Quote
David Holman Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Also seen it on tour and it is every bit as good in the flesh as the pictures suggest. 3mm is also a lovely scale, requiring only half the space of 00 - or much more in the same area. Like S, a bit of a niche, but for those who enjoy building rather than collecting, has so much to offer. Quote
StevieB Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Ballyconnell Road was at Railwells last week-end. It’s always a good show and this year was no different, in fact probably one of the best I’ve been to. However, the star of the show for me was undoubtedly Ballyconnell Road, which both looked great and ran well. Congratulations to Stephen, Mick, Lawrence and Andrew. Stephen 1 Quote
GNRi1959 Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 It’s an amazing layout - the Adavoyle of the 3mm society. 1 Quote
