Patrick Davey Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I have an idea for a layout and I want to keep the electrics as simple as possible, to an absolute minimum. Wondering can anyone suggest an alternative, mechanical, method of operating points from a distance? Thanks in advance!
0 Broithe Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 (edited) If you can't operate them directly with a straight rod, you might try Bowden cables. It's a bit fiddly to get working right, but reliable, when you do. The ones in the picture both worked pairs of linked points which operated synchronously, if that makes sense. I can build the control panel and supply everything you would need to switch points.
