KMCE Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 Hello All, Would anyone know what colour station trim such as windows, doors, facia / soffits, bridge & railing ironwork, etc would be? Any thoughts? Ken

Doors, frames, etc., a leaf green colour quite like what would become CIE green. Railings and ironwork in stations, fencing etc, the same green usually. I have an idea occasionally dark grey or black but I could be wrong. Bridges were painted in red lead primer, and over that were painted a dark silvery grey. Edited September 21, 2019 by jhb171achill

Early CIE days (1947) but chances are it hadn't been painted since GSR days given shortages were still an issue even by then. Edited September 21, 2019 by minister_for_hardship 2
