  1. Thinking about Weathering the rest of the Weedspray now. Just worried about the printed Markings coming off with my usual spirits based method.

  2. No probs,

Spray the primer, Used some pre-shading using Black and white, You can just about make out the white areas coming through.

Then used a Sponge with Maskol and dabbed it over the Gray (did not want to use a Metal Colour) Left it dry Spray the yellow and rubb off the Maskol with a Cotton bud. I did not want to over do the Roof as it is a bit worse in the pictures of the real thing.

The white pre shading brings up a slightly different hue yellow as indicate in the ring below, Give a Small bit more interest in the overall Yellow.

I added Top hats to the Bogies too for that bit of extra glide not that it needed it I'd say.

Then you’ll pay UK Vat on the original purchase then Irish Vat on import.

Unless the Sender knows the Final Dest is outside GB. Ie your billing address and takes the VAT of the initial Cost.

This is a right balls up especially for buying n Selling UK outline Etc, should of went Continental outline  a year ago....I must admit I did not know or think the VAT was Strictly gonna be locked in. The Tiny people Get Squeezed to hell but the Corps get away with Murder.  Even the price of some Etched Headcodes is gonna be pricey or problematic to get in now.

Feel like throwing in the towel now TBH on the GB stuff but too late now.

Quite a lot of Model Shops outside of the UK and decided it is not worthwhile supply the UK anymore

This is were the Local Models shops in Ireland come into their own, Lets hope the EU Suppliers like Noch, Revell etc now don't have this awful model of UK DC's anymore as a lot of Kits etc are supplier through UK hubs.

There a couple in Hamburg, Get me a ticket and an Empty suitcase and I do a trip for ya and collect all ye bits! :)

  5. Theresa in the field of Corn too and maybe a Faller Maggie doing a U turn.

My love of London has diminished somewhat, just not the place I knew in the 80/90's. Much more interesting things in Europe now that I regret not getting to see in my youth

Also London does not have this Hamburg Attraction, Astra and Currywurst.  Still waiting on a 100 bottle Delivery from Germany, lovely tack.

You probably missing this layout in the Musuem Gauge 1 too.

  6. Seen this on RMWEB , a MWL in London without the Currywurst and German beer. Site cost 14 Million so lets hope they have a few pound left for some Murphy models stuff to run on it.

The Biurb below says to Feature Ireland too.

The giant layouts planned for the attraction include:

    • A 300sqm layout of the UK and Ireland
    • An 18-metre long London
    • A giant USA inspired layout
    • An impressive ski resort
    • The world’s largest miniature airport

There will also be a number of dioramas depicting various eras of British History, from the Battle of Hastings to the Swinging Sixties. Other smaller layouts and dioramas will also pepper the location.

  7. It would certainly be nice on a Small Layout but the time element of building multiple points etc would kill me.

I used to wonder in my youth when fellas at the RC club would head home on a perfect day for family'sy duties, Now I know!  For me it is just not Possible given time constraints.

Very topical scenery as well !  that does look a lovely model and nice to the stabaliser rails  for units to lean on as well!

    Robert

Yea Looks a bit Sh1t Still tbh, I should of just done a large around the walls type layout instead of this Exhibition type one as I will need a van to move this anywhere and I don't have one. Might Rethink what I am doing and leave that area with the houses as is for now and flip the back scene boards to the opposite side. Well see. Also the price of all the scenery bits n bods is a bit daft too!

Well done George. The 80 looks very good - and with Bulleid Pacifics and 4CIGs - I felt quite at home, having emigrated from the Land of 80s to pure, pure, Bulleid territory. Later in life, I commutted by 4CIG.

Nice to see a Merchant Navy on 29 December 2020!

Tks Leslie, There is a West Country and a Merchant Navy in the Vid!

    just for you!
