Spent this morning looking back at my June 2018 flickr album which covered the building of Glengarriff and its later Four Masters Bridge extension over the years. I can't remember if I actually put a flickr link on but it may provide some inspiration (or maybe not!) to our newer members on the forum. Most of the stock has moved on due to the space restriction caused by the move into the boxroom downstairs. https://www.flickr.com/photos/irishswissernie/albums/72157697362769724/

Thanks Leslie, very interesting! I think the slide of 198 at Lurgan was taken by A D Hutchinson and was part of an Auction Lot I acquired last year or the year before. The Lot of slides was supposed to be almost all Originals but definitely over half were not, however this one was genuine although a trifle faded which is probably why it had ended up at the Auctioneers. I am giving up acquiring new original material but there are still some 1200 Irish originals in the 'To upload' Folder.

Yes, had a biopsy on me prostate which nowadays with the new procedure should be renamed the 'Ordeal of the 20+ cuts' and 2 days later they wanted suddenly to insert a camera into my bladder which I pointed out was not a good idea until everything had healed. So I now have this to look forward to on 2 March. Now awaiting the Biopsy results.

A bonus upload today as I am having a hopefully short holiday (fingers crossed) courtesy of the NHS tomorrow. County Donegal Railways. CDRJC 1958-06-27 Strabane Erne shunting. PFF148. CDRJC 1958-06-27 Strabane Drumboe on stub of Derry line with 3'45pm Letterkenny mixed. PFF157. CDRJC 1958-06-27 Strabane station overall view. PFF152. CDRJC 1958-06-27 Strabane SG & NG wagons. . PFF156. The Donegal wagons look deceptively large due to the track they are on being higher than the GNR one so that the wagon floors of both were at the same level to aid transhipping. They were bigger though than those on most other Irish narrow gauge lines.

I think so, it may have been a swop for some Murphy Diesels, unfortunately the exact details are in that period from my age of 10 until my birthday last month when I can't remember much, they may have originally gone to Des Sullivan? My Minder says its too far! (300 miles) and she won't take me but I have registered for the talk.

This one Dave of the real one ;SLNC 1957-06-19 'Hazlewood' PFF023. Then this one of your actual model (I think). I had 2 and the other one had 'Lurganboy' nameplates. The layout its on lay unfinished for several years and the locos got a bit dusty. The Wing Tank is one of son Alan's creations which he no doubt sold at a later date. The layout bit the dust when Madame decided she wanted her front room back and everything was consigned to the loft for several years until she then decided that the rooms there would be ideal for conversion to bedrooms to cater for children and grandchildren when they came for holidays etc.
