A few arrivals this week, a friend gave me some 80 Northern Ireland slides from the the mid 1960's and today a mixed bag arrived including some JG Dewing negatives. This one caught my eye. I'm pretty sure that the bogie coach is one of DNGR Tri-Composites 23 or 24 built for the Greenore- Belfast Boat trains in 1899. Please correct me if it isn't! EDITed to The bogie carriage is a GNRI vehicle, number 130, (a one off), originally H2 2nd/3rd class, downgraded in 1941 to all 3rd and allocated K21. Thanks Paul. I thought that if it was the ex D&NGR Tri-Composite it would have retained the 'LNWR' livery. DN&GR 1949-05 CA Newry Bridge Street station, Greenore train JT94 and GNRI bogie + DNG 6 whl stock. 2023 done! As at 31 December the number of hits on the Archive since the beginning in 2009 amounted to over 60 million (60183344) Now if I had received just a penny a hit that would have amounted to £601,833-44 and I could have probably just funded an RTR 00 scale GNRI VS 4-4-0. Back in the real world if one had to pay 1P per hit the total number would probably be closer 60183! Ah Well! back to reality. I have approx 450 images still to upload but there is very little in the pipeline or on the horizon, but you never know what might materialise in future. Four views today. C&L 1953-06-08 3L on the Arigna branch train which hit a car x151. The LRTL Special of 1953. Connolly 072 probably on a Rosslare Harbour train ca 2000-2005. j211 GNRI 1953-09-24 Ballyhaise 4.55pm ex Belturbet JT 90. Mck002 GNRI 1956-09-13 Oldcastle Loco shed LN401 A hurried snapshot a bit out of focus unfortunately.

CONWY FALLS ,Welsh 009
Irishswissernie replied to Irishswissernie's topic in British Outline Modelling
A little bit of progress on Conwy Falls with construction begun on the station building plus a second hand Scenecraft water tower has appeared. Blanche & Linda were purchased at their launch during the Ffestiniog Bygones Gala in October. -
Glengarriff + my former Irish models/layouts
Irishswissernie replied to Irishswissernie's topic in Irish Model Layouts
I can't get much done on the modelling front at the moment as the house is being renovated . Construction should start on the new layout next year but I usually can find time at Christmas/New Year for a bit of peace and quiet modelling; however I will have to make do with looking at a few images. Here are a couple from Glengarriff in March 2023 a few months before closure. -
No reason really! I definitely didn't get off (that includes the train I was on!)

CAPTIONS invited for this one! The delightfully named Sins station in Switzerland back in May 1988, I don't know how I missed the possible 'interpretations' here when I took it, probably because I was far more interested in 10970. The loco and the old (possibly just exhausted) chap are probably no longer with us but the lady could well be so I have obscured her face.
