Normal service hopefully now resumed. First view is at Ennis but at the less photographed Limerick end of the station 1958 or 1959 I have also a fair number of new Cavan & Leitrim views so have uploaded half a dozen to flickr today including this rather different image taken from up a pole at the north end so hopefully some new details of the infrastructure. The third view is of the old carriage shed sidings dumping ground but with a distant view of the rear of the loco shed/works.

Thanks Jim, got home late last night . The one bright spot of the last week was the discovery that Rake Lane Hospital at North Shields actually provide a full cooked breakfast for patients! -

I think its Killarney but unable to confirm at present due to being a guest once again of the NHS -
WLR 42, Hawthorn of Leith 284 Jun 1862, originally 0-6-0t used on construction of Anglesey Central Railway and then on Neath & Brecon Railway. Bought by WLR in 1882 and re-gauged to 5'-3' Rear coupling rods removed to enable it to work tight curves in Limerick Yards and then worked at Fenit. Withdrawn in 1901. Info from Locos of the G&SWR page 223 where there is a great deal more info and a drawing as a cabless 0-6-0t in Neath & Brecon Days

My main PC is now fixed but unfortunately everything on it has been lost, not a complete disaster but it means I do not know what has been uploaded to flickr and there were over a 1000 scans ready to go on which can only be identified by individually checking whether they have been uploaded or not. I am also providing employment for several days in the coming weeks for the NHS and have been sent a Collection of some 8000 English and Scottish negatives for identifying etc. Now in this Collection there are 6 Irish prints, however I don't think these were taken by the photographer . The locations are known, but does anyone recognise the view and photographer? First 2 are Headford Junction with a Killarney service and the Kenmare branch local Second pair are at Drimoleague. Third. Cork and Bantry.

I am having to use Madame's ancient lap top as my computer is knackered! All the scans for uploading are on that so there won't be anything new on here until son Alan has fixed it. Unfortunately Mother in Law who lives with us has tested positive for Covid so I have retreated to the Loft. Its odds on that I am going to get it as well although I am negative at the moment. The bonus is that I can legitimately concentrate on the layout for the next few days! I don't think therefore that Alan will wish to venture this way for a few days so normal service may take some time to restore

Any bagged freight in 90's to Kildare, Portarlington or Athy?
Irishswissernie replied to murphaph's question in Questions & Answers
Bagged cement lasted until at least June 2003 from Limerick to Waterford, on that date here is a set of 4 bagged plus 16 bubbles behind 169 returning from Waterford at Limerick Junction. I basically visited Ireland during 2000 to 2005 and in the earlier part of that period there were still several bagged workings from Limerick and odd ones from Platin which are covered in Ernie's Railway Archive on Flickr. -
92213 is at Gloucester Central on iron ore from the midlands to South Wales , the scrapyard is Barry. the big terminus with Green EMU 4279 Waterloo.

A quick look John as I'm taking a break from building 4mm scale windows. Princess Alice is at Glasgow, St Enoch. 45469 Stirling, 64602 Dundee Tay Bridge. The railbus isn't at Crieff as that station only had 2 long platform faces but with 3 tracks between them, doesn't look like Alloa or Gleneagles either. I will have a proper look tonight as there is nowt on TV. EDIT 2 more 34092 Yeovil Junction. 48287 Chester.
