  1. Congratulations, Alan, thoroughly deserved! Cheers, Mark
  2. Looks darn' good to me!
  3. Looks like the perfect site to me! Great use of the Ratio kit, wonderfully restrained build and finish. Cheers, Mark
  4. 3D printed kits are quite (well, becoming increasingly) common in aviation modelling. Given that I know nothing about the process of creating a 3D file for printing, printed kits for railway models would seem to be a good method of production. Presumably, for instance, a wagon's sides and ends printed flat would print more quickly than as a complete model? Please excuse my ignorance! Cheers, Mark
  5. That looks fab - thanks for sharing!
  6. Any photos? If there's no evidence, it didn't happen (only joking!) Cheers, Mark
  7. Looks fantastic!
  8. +1 for some 4mm examples if that's at all possible? Cheers, Mark
  9. That's rather lovely!
  10. Although running as an 0-4-2WT in the photo, she bears a more than passing resemblance to the Haydock Foundry 0-6-0WTs "Bellerophon" et al. Cheers, Mark
  11. Hi Leslie, many thanks! I do think "plagiarism" might be a bit strong, as anyone with the ability to design and 3D print (I don't!) could do the same. However, I definitely prefer accurate models and I will be ordering some of yours! Cheers, Mark
  12. These came up on a search last evening: OO / 1:76 / 4mm Irish Style Cattle Wagons x 3 It's a shame they're "Irish Style" rather than a specific prototype, but would probably be okay with the 3' rule! Cheers, Mark
  13. Thanks! Presumably, then, it would have been finished in goods stock livery rather than passenger livery? Thanks, Mark
  14. This is a fascinating conveyance! Would it have been restricted in use to a specific service or branchline? Cheers, Mark
  15. This looks fantastic! If it could be made available for those of us without a printer, that would be amazing. I'd be up for four or five! Cheers, Mark
  16. Just spent a very pleasant hour or so catching up with this layout - not sure how I've missed it before. Absolutely superb modelling throughout, the attention to detail is brilliant, and the use of weathering techniques is subtle enough to to not overpower yet strong enough to show age. Also very taken with the diminishing perspective on the lane. Hat's off to you! Cheers, Mark
  17. Thanks, @Mayner and @jhb171achill, for the extra info - all very useful as always.
  18. Oh my word, that's absolutely terrible news. I'm so very sorry to learn this. Yes, I've not been around for quite a bit, so thank you for bringing me up to date. Kind regards, Mark
  19. As I understand it, these would be the etchings only, no castings, which would mean finding period-correct chimney, dome, etc. John @Mayner, were the later boilers of different diameter? Or is it just that different style smoke doors were fitted? And also when Inchicore style smokeboxes etc were fitted? Many thanks, Mark
  20. That's a stunning model!
  21. I'm a definite for 2 x Atock J26, maybe even 3 if the price is right (sounds like a good title for a game show ). Cheers, Mark
  22. Many thanks - just wanted to be sure! Cheers, Mark
  23. Hi Ken, Just checking in to see if there was anything new on this super layout? All the best, Mark
  24. Incidentally, might Roger be persuaded to downscale his etched coach kits, or at least the bodies? Asking for a friend
  25. Hi, A bit of a thread bump, here! I'd be interested in the three MGWR locos: 1 x Atock G2 1 x Fairbairn "Elf" 2 (maybe 3!) x Atock J26 Are we also contacting Roger direct to express our interest? Cheers, Mark
