    SSM Sulzer 101

Excellent news, now to source a donor!

    SSM Sulzer 101

A 20 wouldn't Eamon, but a 24 or a 25 might be as they had similarly sized Sulzer engines. Des, is it still your intention to make the kit easily adaptable for Athearn SD9 running gear as well as the Hornby Deltic?
  3. Lots of photos on their own website http://www.a1steam.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&id=8&Itemid=170
  4. A quick video demonstrating the factory fitted tsunami sound in these beasts!
  5. I took a trip to the midlands over the weekend to check out the latest progress A4Mallard has made on his layout. I took along a Heljan Class 23 Baby Deltic to stretch its legs a little and took a video of it undergoing a haulage test of 60 Bachmann Presflo cement wagons. It climbed the six(!) levels of the layout with ease which is pretty impressive stuff from a small loco. It is silky smooth too, and I would have to thoroughly recommend them. Anyway, enjoy the video! [video=youtube;-ukzZWsCNMc]
  6. Yep, the Gevo's are being delivered to NS in primer and they paint them up themselves. The ACe's will be painted by the manufacturer when they're completed and delivered directly.

  8. And a penchant for burning boxes???
  9. Don't look at me! Looks like another recruit to the dark side Dave, didn't think converting you lot would be so easy!
  10. I know, imagine how much it costs!
  11. Nice (if a bit long) video of the big model show in Dortmund which took place last week. Some lovely continental stuff, especially that large scale German steam. [video=youtube;0xHyey5RN-U] 3zN4WmUmlHY
  12. It's not the first time they've had serious problems like this either. Hope it's back up soon, in the meantime I'll just have to spend more time on here!

  14. It's going to be the best Irish model yet, which really is saying something!
  15. What you should've done is bought a BR liveried A1 and gone mad! I'd be bad enough, but you might just kill Bren with the shock! http://www.southern-images.co.uk/lightbox/index.php?module=media&pId=102&id=4384 http://www.themodelcentre.co.uk/60124/prod_113.html
  16. Dead right Rich, a lot of people missed the boat with MIR, myself included. Would nothing more than a nice string of bubbles behind my 141s or similar.
  17. A rtr wagon would be lovely. I like passenger stock but freight is always more interesting IMHO.
  18. Hornby use the roco couplers with their coaches and you can buy them in packs of ten. Should have them in most model shops. They will just click into the NEM socket.
  19. 081 is sporting black cab doors instead of silver on one side at least
  20. Absolutely, you've got to hand it to the Brits, they've designed some beautiful machines over the years, especially steam and diesel locomotives. And yes, the BBC do that sort of thing very well indeed. Could you imagine the mess RTE would make of it?
  21. Tornado is always pristine. Just get a model figure, weather him and stick some pubic hair on his head instead... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RAYwEALTvM&feature=related
  22. A man can dream!
  23. Absolutely, I just keep thinking how good it would be if Paddy had a go!
  24. Sweet pics, thanks for sharing! The ITG did a great job on her. I just wish there was a good model of the As, they are my favourite Irish loco along with the 071s. I just can't deal with the Silverfox one sadly!
  25. I believe he was out of work for over a year, and RMWeb recently teamed up with BRM so he now gets paid for it. We'll have to cosy up to Model Rail and make a few quid!
