  1. Pretty sure you're correct Rich, Anjin brass did the LMS locos and do Overland diesels. The LMS locos are a lovely piece of kit, but have their problems, particularly with going around corners. The finish is second to none though, and something plastic cannot get near. Here's a pic of my one, the LMS twins are probably my fave British diesel. Fancy getting some JLTRT O gauge ones when the money starts flowing again. Have been contemplating the Dapol/Hattons OO version but am going to hold off until the Bachmann one comes out so I can have a running pair and the brass loco can live in the cabinet.
  2. Looking forward to these, can see them being very popular.
  3. Cheers Rich, it's good to be back amongst friends.
  4. And some of UP1982 UP1988 'Miss Katy' is on the way in the coming weeks, and yes, I have one coming this way!
  5. Athearn Genesis has released it's second SD70ACe Union Pacific heritage repaint, UP1983 in Western Pacific tribute livery. Mine showed up recently, and it's been well worth the wait. Complete with tsunami factory sound, it's a gorgeous loco. A few pics to see the tempting nature of the dark side!
  6. The bauld A4mallard has a rake of UK ones he weathered up quite nicely. They are one of the nicest model wagons around, I'm sure anyone who buys this limited edition will be delighted with them.
  7. Few pics of my weathered diesels... ViTrains RES Class 47 Bachmann EWS Class 66
  8. Cheers, I have plans for at least half a dozen, 112 in NIR after being loaned to IE is a definite must, either as a general release or detail job!
  9. Cheers, has been populated!
  10. Like Union Pacific, Norfolk Southern are painting up some of their new locos in heritage schemes to pay tribute to railroads it took over in the past, or that they can trace their lineage back to. Unlike UP, who used 'the spirit' of its former railroads to inspire fancy fantasy paint jobs, NS is going for true replications. A full list of what they plan to do is here: http://www.nscorp.com/nscportal/nscorp/Media/images/heritage_images.html Liveries will be carried by either a GE Gevo or an EMD/Whateverthey'recallednow SD70ACe If anyone is feeling flush then Overland Models has announced that they'll be making all 19 heritage paints in HO brass. Yours for $1,060 a pop. http://www.overlandmodels.com/news/?p=205 The first Gevo has been released in Conrail livery. Must say it wears the big blue well http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=392356 The next heritage loco is another Gevo, this time in Southern livery. Have to say, stunning! http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=392712 Loco number 3 - Gevo in 'Nickel Plate Road' http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=393441 Central of Georgia http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=395019&nseq=2 (unbelievable picture) Norfolk and Western http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=394626 More on the way! Anyone want to write to IE and see if they'll pump out a few 201s and 071s in retro liveries? I think the ICRs would look nice in orignal orange and black!
  11. I'd love a HO version to pose on a flat car like the first picture shows, will have to make do with a crashed SD9 when I use the chassis for the B101 kit... Also think that this is worth repeating: Any idea on the prices of the 071s and the running numbers/liveries up for initial release yet? PS Loving the functionality of this new site. Yuku was pretty poor as a host!
  12. Very nice, you never see pictures of heavily weathered Supertrain 141's, the weathering is spot on. Reminds me, must get my two dirty!
  13. Gent. The good times are here again!
  14. Amen to that! Nice to be back online after my short sabbatical, and I'm seriously impressed by the quick turnaround. Well done to all involved! I'm back in college doing web development so if anyone wants to help me with my homework let me know! Are us Yankee and Sasnach modellers going to be allowed post up stuff about our foreign muck?
