It seems the main differences are internal and luckily I have plenty of experience with a soldering iron so these issues would not concern me personally but I can understand some buyers would be put off by these drawbacks compared to later models.

Thanks a Mil. I believe when these sets did get the IR/tippex livery that they just applied the white lining to the ST livery. Is that correct do you know?
