Another book I picked up at the Wexford show-Railways in Ireland part 4-Great Southern and Western
by Martin Bairstow.Great photos and ideal for model reference.
Also the two dvds of the West Cork Railways come highly
recommended.
I dont know how long it will be before the chip is released.I was at Downpatrick for the recordings as Gerry Byrne who organised
everything could not go so I got the job of driver for Mr sound guy.Anthony came along as well and we had a great time. The staff
were very friendly and helpfull, and even have a small layout in a station room. Here is a video of actual recording on the way to Inch
Abbey with a empty stock working. You might hear me asking the driver how thirsty is A39 on diesel and he replys -18 lts a hour ticking over.Click on image to view.
Very slow progress even though there not too much left to do.
I will be getting a sample of the new A class sound chip soon so when
She is good to go I will post up photos and video.
I don't know if this is possible but I will talk to Gerry Byrne to see if mr Sound Guy can do this.
By the way the locos that were recorded back in 2007 for the locos were 211-185-088.
It was pointed out to me that 185 has a clanking in the idling of the engine that is reproduced
On the sound chip.I don't know if this is fault on 185 at the time but it seems she had this noise
when recording took place.
I was not going to bother with a 112,but she will blend in on any train due to her long stay down south a few years back.
082 sounds great in freight livery, although I was hoping that 071 herself would appear in IR or IE livery.
I think IR livery will be my fav,and like you said I will have to see how many I can afford to.
The first delivery in October will be NIR,Freight,Super Train.
Great to see ye here lads.I feel at home already.
I have not stuck up my avatar photo yet as I might stick up
a new one,and I may have a trawl through the photo albums.
