  1. Some photos of the MK3 a coaches. The first photo shows the driving trailer that work was carried out on but never finished.
  2. I have to say I am very happy with this site and thanks to Stephen for providing a well run site and the fact that we have a number of mods keeping a eye on things.
  3. Would a class 20 or 25 sound chip be close on the B101s?.
  4. I dont know the full story on what happened to 146,but she did get a entire full front of the cab rewelded back in place. The day that I was there with Anthony and Keith (Mrsound Guy) was a stunningly fab day.I was in such high spirits that on the way back we got some grub in Anthonys house and I could not eat anything due to the rush of A39 to the head.
  5. Good God that's fantastic.just wondering could you set this loco on a bit of track and put it on a part of the West Cork System.first C class In 50 years.
  6. Very nice collection there Noel.I love those yellow school buses.I wanted to buy some but are not for sale at the moment.
  7. Glad ye liked the photos. The sound chiped locos do sound far better in Gerrys house as the general noise at the show drowns them out a bit.
  8. I remember you wanting to weather A39 ROFL. The ITG have done a fab job on her,as you can see with the condition of the engine room. A lot heavy cleaning and painting, and the same can be said for 226 in Carrick as the work is simply fantastic when you consider how long restoration is going on with limited manpower.
  9. Now thats what you call a proper attic.Nice job Dave:)
  10. As my own layout is still under construction,I thought Id post up a few photos of Gerry Byrnes Ballybeg that I took a few months back.
  11. As far as I know during the 90s all the 071 class had major cab rebuilds which Replaced a large area under the cab side windows and cab floor and particulary around the headlight area. The remaining token catcher plate seemed to disappear then or am I wrong?.Was 082 the single loco that got name plates as Patrick said. Have some photos of cab rebuilds in the albums-must get them out.
  12. You never know.Maybe.When you think back ten years ago who would have thought what goodies we have now.
  13. I know what you mean, but I suppose the SF A and C class are not bad when you consider the Q kits and Lima class 33 repaint.
  14. Some photos for anyone like myself who might be doing a model of A39.
  15. The IRRS seems your best bet Ant,as I remember Rev Norman Gamble is/was a expert on GNR aspects and done a good few articals in the journal. You could PM Ciaran-Eiretrains who is a IRRS member and could let you know what photos are in the society. As Jonathan said worth joining IRRS.
  16. That's great that 112 is the same as the one that ran South as I would be more incline to get one now.
  17. A truely fantastic book Jonathan, and one of my fav photos is B103 at Charlestown and the photo opposite of the bike race having to jump over LC gates when closed across road.
  18. Great shot there Noel, and welcome to the dark side of DCC.Are you going for the prodigy?.
  19. Lovely job and very same as my 156 and 143 which Anthony Done as well. The factory paint job really annoyed me on the IR 141s as the orange was far too bright.I will post up a few photos when I get a chance.
  20. I did not get any rear shots Broithe but if you check out the web site fireservice trust I am sure that there is more Photos to view of the fire engine.
  21. Here are a few shots of last years pumpathon in Athy.
  22. Nice vandalism there Seamus, now I could be a vandal myself as I butchered a nice bachmann class 20 a few years back as I thought it would fit my MIR white metal 141.God I made a hens a**e of it:confused:,and still have the damm think on a shelf in the shed to remind me of me vandalism. I suppose I am a bit hard on myself as this happened before I had the internet or even knew anybody that was into model railways, unlike now where plenty of advice is always on hand:o
