  1. I think an A Class used to do an odd turn to St. JOHNSTON/PORTHALL on summer Sunday excursions in the late 50's from Amiens Street There may have been an A Class based in Carrickmacross in the late 50's also.

  3. I get the impression that both BRILL/R - BYLINES send a collection of old photographs on a subject to certain individuals to write notes & captions on the subject matter. While these people probably know an fair bit in general about UK railway subjects - it's a completely different ball game over this side of the Irish Sea.

  8. Did a Dundalk 2600 set not work a Sunday relief PORTADOWN - CONNOLLY [ about 1800 ] for a while ? I can't put a date on it - maybe in late 1990's.
