2. Is this better she ll be heading to the workbench for a repaint at least and a little detailing after seen these pics:( Un abused end Front end cut back just behind the buffer and an attempt at solving the bogies:SORRY: Early attempt at detailing!!!
3. Hmm i think a call to the old reliable is in order!!!!
4. No problem, I ll upload some pics later be warned though it's from my early days of modifying locos!!!!!, maybe a little upgrade may be in order.
5. I done the lima conversion slightly different than the mir's. I kept one end of the bachmann chassis as is and scratchbuilt a new buffer beam plus skirts for the other end. The end that's not used needs to be cut back slightly at a point just inside the bufferbeam. I also dismantled the bachmann fuel tanks and scratchbuilt a new fuel tank etc using a later murphys 201 as a reference.
6. I ve lima 219 remotored with a Bachmann cl 66 chassis as well, she's numbered as 202 these days;).To get the 66 chassis to fit the lima involves quite a bit of work, the lads in the mrsi built a maxed out one with loads of extra details a few years back. The main problem with any remotoring job on the 201 is the bogies and the wheel spacings, the bachmann bogie is a lot more bulky than the Murphy lima or new 201 version.
7. It's ok Seamus I'm having an extra few beers each night for ya.
8. Nice work Sean
9. The Mrs's thought she was a smart arse by wrapping one of my old 201 boxes and put it under the tree. Got myself 082 and Santy got me a load of decoders for my mm 201's and 071's.
10. For a long time Ssm J26, Maeve, Bandon tank and J15 have been on my radar problem is me and brass don t get on, I ve tried 2 brass kits one was a disaster and the other is barely presentable. I do intend to rebuild a few rtr br locos with plasticard but I ve a load of jobs on the bench before I have a go at a steamer.
11. Happy Christmas lads
12. Arrived today Noel many thanks
13. Ideally a J15 would be good, then again I wouldn't say no to a Bandon tank or a J26. The Aec railcars, yes please as for an A class now your talking!!!!!
14. Yep that's the one Richie
15. Albert Qy had a overhead signal cabin, the one on the bridge is for the lifting spans, the Barrow and suir bridges have similar control boxes, definitely wouldn't fancy been in either control boxes today with the wind that comes down both river valleys.
16. Great job so far, looking forward to seen this progress.

20. I love seeing the 201's, I m happy when I see the 071's but it's always a bit sweeter seeing a 201.
21. Thanks lads there's another 201 wrapped up under the Xmas tree and after that (fingers crossed) 230 will be the last to be added to the roster, as far as I know 209 never carried nameplates.
