  1. Etched brass kit from Langley Miniature Models. You get quite a lot of tables and chairs… Maybe I’ll build a cafe… Cheers Darius
  2. Cheers Darius
  3. Bundle arrived today Cheers Darius

  6. Third pair of terraced completed. Cheers Darius
  7. Thanks Leslie. The Scalescenes kits are good value for money and easy to adapt/modify. Their brick print effect is also more realistic, in my view, than Metcalfe for example, and you don’t have the exposed card corners. Populating the back yards is the fun part. Cheers Darius
  8. The space hopper is made of blue tack and two bits of wire for the horns before painting orange. The “face” was drawn in MS Paint before shrinking down and printing on clear decal paper. Still a bit soft - ok as long is you don’t prod it too much. Cheers Darius

  12. Just noticed that the bonnet/hood doesn’t sit true. Never been the same since Hutch landed on it… Cheers Darius

  15. 55011 arrived yesterday but was delivered to the office. Picked it up this morning and had a play in the shed Cheers Darius
  16. Hang on a sec. I’ve got an NHBC certificate somewhere… Cheers Darius
  17. Terraced house completed. Just need to build a whole lot more now. Cheers Darius
  18. Hurrah, it fits Also had a play with a new arrival from Accurascale… Cheers Darius
  19. The company effectively folded a couple of years ago, but has recently been resurrected by others to produce high end O Gauge models. Full saga here I have some of their OO Gauge LNER Coronation coaches. Very nice but they need very large radius curves or major fettling to run smoothly. Being all metal, they are also very heavy so need a seriously powerful loco to drag them around. Display Cabinet material really. Cheers Darius
  20. First of about twelve terraced house pairs under construction. Built from the Scalescenes download, print and glue onto cardboard kit. Roofing tomorrow. Cheers Darius
  21. The corrugated sheeting is available on eBay from Goodwood Scenics. Corrugated Sheeting Cheers Darius
  22. Progress this week on a scenic infill for the SW corner of the shed. The polystyrene slabs were packing from some self-assembly steel cabinets that I acquired for the garage a couple of years ago. The plan is to have rows of terraced houses (Scalescenes) with a slight gradient up to the right-angled corner. Cheers Darius
  23. Hi Robert, As this section is in a tunnel we will be connecting feeds from the shed perimeter bus bar to the outside edges of the rails at regular intervals. Cheers Darius
  24. Lower scenic level extension to the other side of the shed commenced. Most of this section will be in “tunnel” beneath the upper scenic level so the code 75 bullhead track transitions to code 100 using Peco transition track pieces. The code 75 bullhead rail connects ok to the “regular” Peco code 75 rail of the transition track piece using standard code 75 rail joiners. Cheers Darius
