Not yet. MTK LMS coach repurposed as a UTA (ex NCC) coach. White metal coach ends cleaned up and glued in place. Plasticard strips used to reinforce the joints.. “Standard” chassis made from plasticard sheet and Plastruct angle sections. I used the MTK trusses but replaced the MTK bogies with Bachman LMS bogies. Roof detailing next. Cheers Darius

Recently acquired from eBay a complete and assembled MTK class 42 bodyshell. The builder has made a reasonable job of the assembly but has applied plasticard grilles to the bodysides - presumably as the flush grilles were sanded away in the assembly process. I removed the plasticard grilles and re-scribed the flush grilles in their place. Primer coat applied. Cheers Darius

Leslie, I would like to second Robert’s words and wish you a very well earned retirement. It was great meeting you at the NEC a few years ago and I have really enjoyed building the Brown Vans, Double Beets and Spoil Wagons. All the best Darius PS - I’ll be in touch regarding the remaining Double Beets…

Thanks Robert. There seems to be a bit of a hoo-ha over on RMWeb about whether the number of this GUV is correct. The first number I applied definitely wasn’t and so I was advised of the correct number series, advice which subsequently turns out to be not so correct… …or is it. We may never care… The next project beckons. Cheers Darius
