  1. Yes, the Xuron is great once you use it correctly, it cuts a perfect, square, clean cut.
  2. -LOVE- the attention to detail and the window decals
  3. Nice one Wiggy! The Xuron cutters are excellent for track!
  4. :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:
  5. Very tasty!! The arches look well !
  6. I think 'where there is a will there's a way' but the difficulty with the Fry is that Dublin Tourism and lots of other parties have ownership/interests and opinions. The layout aside, there are some beautiful, historical models in the collection, which should be in a museum. The layout, could be replicated and very much enhanced anywhere, just boils down to the budget to do it!
  7. Ah don't go there heirflick - my lima 201 collection cost me enough for a small new (second hand) car ! I had 'mixed' emotions when Paddy announced the new versions Again, better that she doesnt know!
  8. Looks great! Feel free to post up ads / contact details here - am sure you'll be able to flog plenty to the lads!
  9. Snap 201 - can't wait to finish those rakes!

    Marks Models are Celebrating their 25th Anniversary and they will be holding and open weekend in their Greenogue branch on the 3rd and 4th of November. There will be special offers, Demos on Sounds locos and digital railways, Scalextric fastest lap competition, Plastic kit building Demos and tips, RC Demos and free giveaways along with complimentary light snacks. It is on from 10am to 6m Saturday and from 12am to 5pm on the Sunday. Follow the signs from Juction 4 on the N7 at the Rathcoole exit. Check the Marks Models website closer to the event for timing of the Demos as they do not run for the full duration of the event.
  11. Looks lovely! Will they be available mail order or online?
  12. Absolutely - I have a collection of originals that will remain in their boxes, but also a small fleet of them touched by the magical service at Graham's respray and weathering service in Port Laois They still have years of service left in them, and look absolutely fine even alongside their newer brothers (altho they dont run as well :) )
  13. Lads, it would be brilliant if we could compile a few 'How to fit kadee' Guides or pics on Irish stuff! I know the 141,181,201,071 locos all have NEM sockets, as do the MK2s and recent stuff, but the MKIIIs and other items would be very useful!
  14. Link: http://taraspalace.ie/ It does well enough to generate €40,000 in profits to donate to Charity each year. Powerscourt is a good choice too, as is stuffed to the gills with tourists all season long.
  15. The Tara's palace doll museum (which co-habited in Malahide with the Fry) seems to be happily set up in Powerscourt House in Enniskerry these last good few months, looks well there too.
  16. Many thanks indeed Frank - will put some tips to use and see how I get on!!
  17. It sounds like it's dead. The online group dies away and was taken over by spammers, and nothing has been heard from those involved since.
  18. Still a good looking model even by his new standard!
  19. Sound Course that means I'll have to actually clean it up a bit now!!!
  20. Can you give us some basic pointers Frank, on how best to photo layouts, models? It would make a great resources for all of us who's know-how is point a phone and press the button
