  1. Yes the Power Cab starter set should handle it no problem and if you want you can always add on to the system with an SB3a which will give you 5amps. The only down side to the starter set is you only get 2 recalls but when you add the SB3a you get 6 I've also added the CAB06 which is a small second controller which gives you another 6 recalls and I now have 12 in total. I can't fault the system and as your layout grows and you budget gets bigger over time you can buy tons of add ons. When you get a refund for the Advance what would your budget be for a new system
  2. Power Cab the only way to go
  3. Here we go again the can of worms has now been opened ((( I would have to agree with Wrenn as after all he's friends with Paddy and has got his info from the horses mouth
  4. You don't need the clips just solder to the clips already on the Athearn Motor. But don't forget to remove them from the motor first. As for wire any thin wire like what's in most locos will do. Try E bay
  5. Don't go opening that can of worms again
  6. I think there is a HO model available of that
  7. That's what Paddy was telling people at the Bangor show earlier this year that they were postponed indefinitely along with 209 and 230
