  3. Lads, does anyone know how many of each 071 will be produced ?
  4. Rich, For me cash is the biggest problem but also I would prefer to have the satisfaction of having something I made (helped really) as opposed to buying something in a shop I already have an SD9 ready and for the kit the most important thing really is the body as the rest can be used from old scraps and spares I'll PM Dave and see if he can help to locate a kit Thanks Brian Also, can anyone tell me about this saving club option?
  5. Hi Guys Some of you might remember I was looking for an 071 kit a while ago and decided to go along the route of scratch building but now I'm looking for a kit again I know most of you will say wait for the MM 071 but I don't have the money for lots of them:( Any help or information would be appreciated Thanks Brian
  6. The scenery is great in that video and wherever the sun is it really adds to it Well done to the photographer for filming a great video:-bd
  7. Well hopefully the factory weathering will be better than on the 141's
  8. I see that they're doing weathered versions will it be like the 141 weathering ?
  9. All of my old boards have been cut up into the correct sizes for the new layout mostly 2x4 It will be fitted with point motors and hopefully will be powered by a Lenz controller The layout will be built in reverse to the previous plans as if it stayed the same the station would be under my bed Hopefully I will start building the baseboards next week
  10. it's quite a convincing model I presume you did the repaint yourself ,if so it's very good=D
  11. Hi guys The 201 I'm currently building has been primed and detailed Here's some pictures
  12. David Kavanaghs model is certainly more realistic than the bachmann model, but the price of his is just too expensive for me
  13. I'll probably go with the Class 150 option as one of my pet hates is the doors at either end rather than about 1/3 in on each side Thanks for the help
  14. It dosen't look bad did you change the windows? I would have bought one of David Kavanaghs only I wouldn't be able to afford it, though they are fabulous models
  15. Thanks I was looking at one of them on Everard Junctions Loco fleet it seems a good enough representation Anyway ,you don't notice the windows as it's going around the layout Thanks
  16. As much as I HATE railcars:mad: I feel a Class 26/27/2800 would make a nice addition to my new layout Can anyone tell me what's the best rtr model to use keeping in mind I'd like the doors in or around the right place rather than at either end Thanks in advance
  17. For ultimate realism 201 should be in the original livery
  18. I suppose that makes sense as there are sidings right beside the mainline and there's just the mainline at newry, a bit like DFDS ,IWT and Timber trains running around at Kildare Thanks for that info
  19. Does anyone know why 8113 + the ballast wagons came to Dundalk and ran around there? Is there a branch line near there that I don't know about?
