Yes, it eventually turned up last week. Never got a reply to my emails to GLS which is no surprise. Disaster of a company.

If you look at a motor you will see two brush terminals where the wires from the pickups are connected. You apply DC power to these terminals to see if the motor is active.

With the body off apply power to the motor terminals to see if the motor works. If the motor works then I would look at the pickups. Check the wheels, both thread & back to see if they're clean. Use cotton buds & IPA

Make sure there's power on the track. Check with another loco or multimeter. Are you using Dc or Dcc & is the loco Dc or Dcc ?

I had something coming from Germany since Dec 11th. Got an email after a few days telling me it was delayed. Nothing since. Rang customer service & was no 13 in the que. When I got to no 1 the call was dropped & I was cut off. Sent them an email & yes you've guessed it, never got a reply. A complete waste of a company

I have fond memories of those Youghal trips. As a young boy we spent our annual holidays down there. I remember late of a Friday night sitting on the bridge at Claycastle just outside Youghal. A tender loco used to bring the staff wages down from Cork. The turntable in Youghal was out of action so it went in reverse all the way back up to Cork again. I can still remember the glow from the firebox Some of the details may be a little hazy as that was a very long time ago. Happy days.
