Yeah, that's the stuff, not to worry, it's clear when it is dry. I've not had any wheel slip issues with the Murphy's locos, 182, 121 or 071, I suppose it depends on what it's pulling, 10 wagons work fine, 4 coaches are fine, have not tried any rakes bigger than that. The 071 was derailing, but as I say, seems to have mysteriously fixed itself.

Hay, I accidentally ordered a big bag of seated figures from China, it turned out I ordered what looks like 1/24 instead of OO scale, are they of any use to you ?, they are no use to me.

I had a few similar problems, locos with traction tyres get bad wheel slip, I replaced the tyres with a paint on stuff from the US called bullfrog snot, don't know where they came up with the name, but it works, my radius is 2 and 3, i replaced all of my couplers with knuckle couplings, coaches with sprung buffers had the buffers retracted and held back with a spot of super glue, had issues with the park royals, had to make a minor mod to the bogies, they work fine now, bubbles etc, no problem, anything longer than that without bogies is a issue, six wheel coaches, forget about it. I did have issues with Murphy's 071 but it seems to have bedded itself in now and is running fine, 121s 141's 181's run great, 601 runs alright with five wagons so long as the track is good and clean. Speaking of cleaning, that's a problem, solved by buying two lilliput track cleaning tankers on fleabay, I panted them up yellow and disguise them as part of a weed train.

Are you going to have lighting on the layout, street lights, yard lights building interior lights etc, if you are, you don't want the room lighting too bright, something warm white, maybe with a dimmer

Go on, splash out Mine originally ran on a lima 55 bogies on the supplied brass chassis, but not very well, replaced it with the cut down hornby 55 chassis runs fine now.

Resin body, photo etched brass parts, mine runs on a cut down hornby class 55, not a bad little kit.

Underground yard wil station on top, exactly what I did, tricky, but pays off when it runs right.

All three of mine were derailing r2 and 3 on an incline ( I have two helix on my layout ) the bogie has a u shaped bracket which makes contact with the NEM socket, I cut the bracket off, this allowed more throw on the bogie, however the sprung buffers were also fowling, I retracted them and put a spot of super glue on the back of them to keep them retracted, this seems to have fixed the issue, I didn't like making these modifications to these works of art, but they run on my layout now, which is better than them not running. In defense of the manufacturer, my layout does present challenges for rolling stock.
