Wow, the last time I saw the mill was 1980something, that's exactly what I remember.

Indeed, there was three layouts, and no huge clouds, plenty of time to admire, talk, photograph, with a few more layouts and some more types of models of interest it will develop into a great little show, and it really supports the hobby as the people are general public and not necessarily from the model community. I'm quite excited about displaying next year.

Sounds like this might be growing legs, count me in.

Wow, a little piece of Ireland in Germany, including telephone box, absolutely wonderful. -
Oh, I love "abandoned" on a layout, there is so much can be done with an abandoned line, looking forward with great interest to what you come up with.
-
Yeah, looking forward to seeing your plan.

Yeah, usually the real thing doesn't scale down very well, I think these ones do, and plenty more where they came from, with the price of half decent looking trees , I might go into commercial production -

I was out for a walk yesterday, the twigs on a dead tree cought my eye, I have no idea what kind of tree it was, but five minutes with some lichen and some scatter, they came up beautifully.- 24 replies

Wow, that is not much space, but from reading magazines, well looking at pictures in them anyway, it can be done.

If you want it flexible use strips of cork instead of cardboard,

As it is very difficult to get under the landscape for wiring lights and whatnot, I run a 12v circuit around the frame with copper tape, one positive one negative, I run a third strip wired to the 12V positive via a 3V resistor, the gives me a 3v circuit as well. I can then run 12v or 3v power along along the surface to wherever it is needed, then hide it under roads, buildings or even the flower beds. A great benefit is that I don't need to individually fuse 3v lights etc as they can simply be wired directly to the 3v circuit. Of course the circuit on the frame will have to be covered over later for safety. -

I will post on the next helix build so I have some more tree building tricks to try, will post if any of them work.
