  1. I'm on it with Enniscortyman at Bray now heading south.
  2. Hi I use alot of IRMs Magnetic Dellner Couplings on my wagons and the 42ft flats. I found that they work great on the Inclines etc. You can see some in the link below. https://youtube.com/@endabyrne3420?si=g6jzJNtCx34pPn6F Enda
  3. Thanks Galteemore and it's opened up a whole new way to model and make items yourself. At the end of the day it's about the enjoyment we get from it and not a competition.
  4. Hi I've finally got these wagons done and I'm printing them now. They were used on the Foynes to Ballina Asahi coal and oil train from the early 70s to late 90s. A variation of the tanker was used as a water barrier on the Ammonia train. Coal body €12 Tanker €15 These sit snugly on the Dapol prestwin chassis witch can be purchased from Marks Models or other model shops. If you would like some of these or any of the other 3D items I'm doing please Pm. Thanks to Noel Enright for all the help in getting the information etc Enda
  5. Hi all .. I have the curtain sided pallet cement wagon in stock now aswell and there's a few more I'm finalizing and will announce them soon. 6. Hi all. I will be bringing my layout Past-Avenue down and I'll also have some of the 3D print items that I am making with me for sale. We will have a little Weathering station available at the show and can have a look and chat etc. Below are the items I'm am currently making. Mark's Models will have the Dapol prestwin chassis that these wagons sit on at the show aswell. Enda
  7. Hi all I've printed the early steel sided cement wagon as in the picture. Again I've drawing them from pictures and videos to get as much detail as I can and that I can print and I'm pleased with the results. These wagons are designed to fit onto the Dapol prestwin chassis without any need for glue etc. I'm producing them and if your looking for some or any of the other 3D items I'm doing please Pm please. Enda Body only weathered €20Bare wagon body €15
  8. Hi all . I've recently started into 3d printing and have made a few small bits that were missing from my models ie...wipers/ horns and tail lights. All of these parts were either unavailable to buy or hard to replace. The tail lamps and warning boards sit onto the lamp irons just like the real thing and can be moved from loco to loco or wagons that have lamp iron details. I pushed myself and attempted to produce the double height beet wagon. I designed it from pictures and videos and to fit onto the Dapol prestwin chassis without any need for glue etc...and had positive feedback that it looked passable with the modelers licence. My idea is that, if you have a rake of prestwin chassis you can change the body's and keep your costs down. I am currently working on other projects that will suit the chassis so they are interchangeable. I have attached some pictures of the stuff that I've made and the costs below. If you would like anything please pm me. Thank Tail lights 50 cent each Warning boards €2 per pair Weathered beet wagon €20 primed beet wagon €15wipers and horns to suit MM 141s/ 071s 50 cent each
  9. Hi Sean. I haven't changed any CVs but I did discover that when F14 and F15 are on the loco will notch up and then down regardless of the speed of the loco witch is a nice feature. Enda
  10. Hi I use IPA and leave it soaking in it for a few hours and with a old toothbrush remove anything that's lose and repeat the process till the surface is free from paint etc. Enda
  11. Hi Jason yes it dose and it needs to be fixed like this if the coupler is attached to the boggie as well to allow movement . Enda
  12. Hi I have started to use the Magnetic Dellner and find that they work great for me . As some of youmay know that my layout has inclines and was not great looking at trains bunch up and then take up the slack. I first used them on my MK3 push pull that I recently finished and they worked once I got rid of the buffer lock. I have fitted them to my pallet cement wagons witch are on a Daplo chassis. I've the IRM Fertiliser and some 42ft flats done but I had a little bit of modification to do to get rid of the buffer lock. All said they have made a great improvement to the appearance and running trains on my layout.
  13. That's looking great and nice to see a station close to me been replicated and looking forward to seeing your progress on this. Good luck with it and most importantly enjoy it. Enda
  14. I would agree with Noel as I was the very same till I took the first step and never looked back. YouTube was my go to for everything and just progressed from there. I would encourage anyone to have a go on something small and inexpensive or old and you'll also get the rewards for achieving it yourself. Don't forget that it's a hobby and not a competition and it's what you get from it is what counts.
  15. That is stunning work and a great result. Enda
  16. Hi If you use Google maps you can measure the length of anything on it and would be very helpful .hope this is helpful as I use it quite a bit. Enda

  19. Hi all Mark has started work on the layout to get it up and running as a working model railway layout in the Donegal Railway Heritage Centre . He is doing videos as he is working on it and uploading them as he goes and explains how it's done etc For more information please look him up on YouTube as he does some livestream and tutorials on model railways also. We were so delighted that this layout got a good home and hopefully inspire people to get into the hobby. Thanks Mark and all at the centre Enda
  20. Hi here are a couple i took a few years back.
  21. Doing a test like that with a A class would bring a tear to a growing man and maybe more.
  22. Thanks Noel As with my layout i have to run wheels with a decent flange so it was a no brainier to use IRMs wheel sets on the MIR Bogie cement wagons as i would have had to buy wheels anyway . They are great and worked straight away and id highly recommend them if you have problems with derailing etc Enda
  23. Your video is great and it was great to meet you . Your own layout was stunning. It was great to meet you George and glad you enjoyed your day. Enda
