    SSM Sulzer 101

    hi lads,meet westy at the show and took a few pics of the sulzer - an absoulte stunner. well worth the wait des! des.. you nay practice the painting!!! ( he tells me he did it in a rush for the show!)
  7. just back from the show and it was great to meet a few of the lads - hiddenagenda, anto, wrenneire, ttc, warbonnet, westy, paul r , niall (the bug lug!....great to hear all is well in your house niall.) and glenderg. enniscorthyman was seen in running after his daughter on several occasions - (its easy known who is the boss in that house!) paddy murphys 071's were the star of the show..breathtaking models -well done sir! special mention to richie...his models were increadable, and a big thanks for the sperry container. finally got my class 80 from anto and she was well worth the wait. got 4 breakvans from gareth which were a work of art. and finally to westy....i held the sulzer in my hands...excellent work desand i cant wait to get my 3. heres a pic to tease you all...

  10. or possibly load onto a waiting flat bed truck? im guessing they were used in the early 70's. they are extremely clean looking - i wonder did they see much use at all?

  12. a friernd opf mine found a pic of this wagon and thought i might be interested, so he emailed it to me . no info about it. never seen one before....anyone throw some light on it? have to say it looks really well - a model for the future of the past perhaps? all help appreciated as usual, seamus
  13. was out the dublin side of portarlington taking a few pics during the summer. had my trusted scanner with me as i was watching and listening to the aer corps who were performing close formation flying overhead. after one train tore past, the rest seemed to slow down dramatically. tuned into the telemetery only to find out that the first train warned signal control in dublin that there was some member of the public close to the line taking pics....took a while to cop that it was me! lesson well learned!

  16. nice to hear the signalman sparing a thought for a possible female driver catching the offending person 'amusing himself while abusing himself' ! great to hear the lads with a sense of humour! hopefully, you wouldnt hear that on irish rail telemetery....or would you?

  18. glenderg, thats the best description of a museum that i ever heard...makes me want to visit there . thats another place added to my 'bucket list'
  19. dont forget the humble cattle wagon!! a rake will always look good behind the black and tan liveried locos. espically the metro vics!

  21. great vids garfield, never get tired of seeing them! the scene with the 121 push pull set comming into the station does it for me!! roll on paddys next venture- please god its them:)
