murphaph Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Hi all, I have 3 of the black roofed Murphy mk2d's in IE livery. I would like to swap these for 3 with orange roofs. If there's any interest feel free to PM me. Cheers! 1
evankelly260996 Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Hi @murphaph Would you be willing to sell these ?
DJ Dangerous Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Would you not use Evan as a broker? He'd definitely get you a great price when re-selling them. Knows just which buttons to push. 1
DJ Dangerous Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 Did you ever get these swapped in the end?
murphaph Posted October 20, 2023 Author Posted October 20, 2023 Nah I sold them in the end and ordered the new MM ones instead 1
WRENNEIRE Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 It always amazes me that people run one coloured roofs only on rakes of coaches Best rake of Mk 2's I ever saw had both black and orange roofed coaches and a Galway restaurant stuck in the middle Live dangerously people! 2 1
DJ Dangerous Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 I don't think the rooves had been painted black for @murphaph's chosen era, they were still orange.

murphaph Posted October 20, 2023 Author Posted October 20, 2023 Yeah I "model" 1994/1995 (though I may make an exception and allow a 1992 mail train some day!). No black or grey roofs and no Galway livery yet at that stage. The coaches were kept reasonably clean. The orange roofs were even clearly visible on the EGVs most of the time. Living dangerously for me is mixing IR and IE stock together lol. 1
