Warbonnet Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 For the lovers of French outline on here http://web.lerelaisinternet.com/railway/jouef1.htm Quote
Garfield Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Thanks for posting that, Fran! Looking forward to the X72500 multiple unit in Auvergne colours. Good to see the X2200 and matching trailer being re-introduced, too. Quote
BosKonay Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Very nice! Recommend any good stockists? Quote
201bhoy Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 OnTracks is a great UK website. Universtrain is also excellent but you have to pay for French postage. Quote
BosKonay Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Cheers 201! I've a few older mehano TGV's and I'm partial to some of the Atlantic stock Quote
201bhoy Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I was almost gonna start an SNCF layout myself! I was going to base it somewhere in the Alps, where trains had to change locos from electric to diesel. I like the Corail Lunea and Intercites trains, and I could have had 26000s, 22200s, 68000s, 72000s etc. Would have made a nice layout, but I'm happy I decided to go Irish with all the new stock coming out at the moment! Quai59 is another good website, but they don't take credit cards. Also you could try Le Petit Train Bleu, quite comprehensive Quote
Garfield Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Very nice! Recommend any good stockists? I usually buy from C&M Models... http://www.candmmodels.co.uk Quote
BosKonay Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Cheers for the links lads! All I need - ANOTHER outline to start collecting :) Quote

201bhoy Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 They have got high. I got a 26000 en voyage for 130 euro, now its 200! Quote
Garfield Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 In fairness, you tend to get what you pay for, and eBay throws up the odd bargain... Quote
BosKonay Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I only have older jouef bits at the moment. Is the new stuff really that good? Quote
201bhoy Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Good quality models alright. Roco is also excellent thought, and tends to be a good bit cheaper. Quote
201bhoy Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Jouef - bestRoco - good Piko - decent Yeah I'd agree with Piko being bottom of the pile. Only 4 wheel drive on their locos, not that great. But I'd rate Roco locos up there with Jouef Quote
Garfield Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Actually... forgot to mention LS Models. They're probably top of the pile... Quote
201bhoy Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Actually... forgot to mention LS Models. They're probably top of the pile... Never had one of theirs before. What locos have you got? Quote
Garfield Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Never had one of theirs before. What locos have you got? I have a Y7100 locotracteur... photos here: http://www.irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/44-La-Vie-en-Rail I've been waiting patiently for the release of their AGC in TER Auvergne colours for a few years now!
