To avoid buggering up the eBay watch thread any more, perhaps we need a specialist thread now.

I had an FSO - like a Lada, but with a different front and rear - and discs all round - lovely car, but it just fell apart eventually.

I had an FSO pickup afterwards..

..six inches more wheelbase and a lower centre of gravity. I put Fiat alloys on it and it would go round corners like a go-kart...

ahhh yes the good days

45 mins to do a u turn

and 10 mins chasing the gearshift around the car to change gear , not to mention the one way windows { uasually down } but hey they made a great jeep

The steering was a bit heavy at parking speeds.

Different gearbox to a Lada - it was a column-change box, but with a floor mounted lever - quite slick, really - except when the rod broke and left me with only third and fourth for 200 miles - got there, though.

Never had a window problem - very low-geared though, about ten turns top-to-bottom.

And the 'unofficial' hand-throttle.

And the double-skinned floor at the back, almost a foot of hidden volume underneath it.....

And this is a great video of the Tatra 603 (gorgeous car) re-edited...

I don't think Jay Leno has reviewed his Tatra T87 on his own YouTube channel yet, but here is a glimpse of it. These in silver are just beautiful

Friend of mine had a Wartburg - very exciting - three-cylinder two-stroke and a free-wheel, so no engine-breaking - take your foot off the throttle and it just goes silent and carries on going....

Anyone have a Trabant.

Rich,

There was one round here a few years ago, but I never saw it move.

Another friend had a Moskvitch in the '70s.

And, obviously, lots of Skodas at one time.
