popeye Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 This seems to be the case, after a long illness. Sorry to hear this, RIP John. Quote
airfixfan Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Was speaking to John only 4 weeks ago at an event in Donegal Railway Museum that he came to support RIP Quote
DJ Dangerous Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Very sad news. My condolences to all who knew him. May he rest in peace. Quote
Newtoncork Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 He was my neighbour when I lived in Armagh, had his layout in the garage and we used to run my Silverfox Mk3 push-pull on it. Was an amazing font of knowledge on railways. Told me he once had lunch with Rev Awdry in London and all they talked about was trains! 1 Quote
