John McKegney.

Anyone know about John McKegney from Portrush? I read on facebook RPSI that he passed away early morning Friday 22nd.

Was speaking to John only 4 weeks ago at an event in Donegal Railway Museum that he came to support

He was my neighbour when I lived in Armagh, had his layout in the garage and we used to run my Silverfox Mk3 push-pull on it. Was an amazing font of knowledge on railways. Told me he once had lunch with Rev Awdry in London and all they talked about was trains!

I must say i never met John, but I had heard of him. He sounds like he was a lovely man.
