Darrman Posted April 29 Posted April 29 https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-northern-ireland-68916989 Overall cost at £17 million, and now with ticket machines and barriers. The big hill Yorkgate was on top of has given way to a three floor building in York Street. 1 1 Quote
Gabhal Luimnigh Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Probably would have cost a couple of billion down here Quote
DERAILED Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Dear god, Translink have even officially called it a "train" station......is this for the benefit of US visitors? Quote
jhb171achill Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Three things irritate me intensely about Translinksterbus. 1. Every single location is called "----- Train Station"; from major stations like Lanyon Centralplace Maysfields, or whatever it's called this month, to Lambeg halt. 2. Yet Dundalk is called a "Rail halt", yet places like Scarva or Bellarena, mere platforms in the wilderness, are "train stations". 3. The massively irritating middle-England BBC accent on all the station announcements. What's wrong with an accent from somewhere within the NIR network? 2 Quote
K801 Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Its called a train station because, yawn, the hint is in the name? Quote

Galteemore Posted June 13 Posted June 13 IIRC many of the NIR announcements in recent years were done by Christopher Boomer, son of late RPSI chairman Sullivan Boomer, himself an occasional BBC Radio Ulster stand-in….. 1 Quote
