Just for info that may be of interest to someone,http://www.modelfair.com have the above locomotive for sale at a buy it now price of £79.50.It states it is little used,with maybe a jumper cable missing from each end,but otherwise is virtually as new.Certainly seems a big price difference from the other main stockists.

Once the money is handed over its considered second hand , if model fair say its in as new condition except for the jumper cables id be satisfied that she d be a good one. Problem I have is trying to avoid buying it.

Bought some 2nd hand stuff off Modelfair in the past and the service is very good. Stuff sold as described. Mind you their postage rates have gone right up over the past 18 months.

I bought a 141 of them a few years back, it was secondhand but she was immaculate, when t to install a chip in her only to find a chip there already. Agreed the postage charges are really bad now and has put me off buying on ebay and other UK based sites.

It wasnt when they ramped them up 18 months ago. They were nearly 3 times the price of Hattons. The big RM increase was more recently I believe.

Absolutely fine; nothing missing, mint condition. A real bargain. Modelfair are having a sale and have reduced 071 in s/b freight livery to £144 odd. My flexible friend got me one of those too. Postage? by current standards not bad at all. Recommended service.
