Does anyone know how long this news booklet was produced for? I wonder how many survive?

 CIE published "Cuisle Na Tire", Vol 1 no 1 January 1945, the last one I have is May 1949

"CIE Weekly News" seems to have been running at the same time, Vol 3 No 2 is 11th June 1948, , vol 5 no 4 is August 27th 1948 and Vol 10 no 8 is 21st October 1949, how they got to Vol 16 on your scan of the Enterprise in 1950 suggests strange numbering!

(I attach a scan of CIE Weekly News Vol 5 no 4, August 27th 1948 which states under the header... and issued as a supplement to CIE readers of Cuisle Na Tire.)

"The Link" appeared in 1950?, I have 1952 issues Vol 3 no 1 January 4th, No 2 January 11th, No 3 January 18th

"Nuacht" was launched in October 1960, I think it ran to around 2003?

I'm fairy sure there are copies in the IRRS at Heuston.

I've got most of the issues April 1947 - June 1950. Not a HUGE lot of railway interest - mainly aimed at "normal people", with articles about things like cricket at Lords, Bray head walking trails, jokes about Hitler, etc. Mol - if you want to borrow them some time, let's make arrangements next time we meet.

Rather along the lines of other short-lived magazines; CIE's 1980's "Travel Express" and IE's 1990's "Traen".

The “staff changes” bit can be interesting, in seeing someone transferred, for example, from Cavan to Bandon, Lahinch to Crossdoney, or Arigna to Loughrea!

Many thanks all! It sounds like there might be the odd interesting snippet in them. No point me spending a lot of money on one copy though. 
I’ll see if I can get a flavour of them when I’m next at the IRRS.

If my memory serves me correctly, JHB posted some previous snippets from CUISLE NA TIRE in his 'CATACOMBS' series a few years back.

I see a man transfared  from Waterford to Bray as a loco cleaner in the extract above - served as a driver in Bray later - as did his son & brother.

Its a small world
