Do the Accurascale DCC sound models come with a blanking chip/are they easy to convert back to DC as I’m looking to order sound models as I’m in the process of wiring my layout from DC to DCC but I’m not there yet. Thanks in advance! If I remember correctly the sound equipped locos will run on DC out of the box. 2

Ah ok, that I don’t have just yet. Is it a simple case of just taking the chip out and putting the blanking chip in to convert it until I get a controller?

You'll have to crank the power up higher than usual under the sound starts, then the loco will move as normal. The sound will shut of if you turn the power off completely at the controller. 1
James Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Sorry to bother you all again, will there be an extension of preorders for the MK2 Driving carriage? Was on yesterday and there was an option to preorder, got paid last night and when I went on this morning that option was gone. Really bummed as I really wanted to get one to complete my order for the new hunslet and carriages

I am in the same boat with this and so a while back had clicked on the 'get back in stock alert' but nothing popped up in my email yesterday? (presumably because it is not actually 'in stock' as it is still a pre-order item!?) Edited October 30 by Tractionman

I’m confused with it aswell because I didn’t get an email either but happened to be on the website and I had the option to order (but didn’t have the money). Hopefully there’ll be a stockist that ordered some (or maybe some of the IRM/Accurascale team might see this and maybe allow a few more orders to be put in, I don’t mind if it’s delivered later than the rest of the orders….) 1
James Posted Monday at 14:58 Posted Monday at 14:58 @Tractionman the website is allowing preorders of the BDTS now! 2 1
leslie10646 Posted Monday at 16:54 Posted Monday at 16:54 Thanks, @James, I got in and got one for myself, but someone was seconds ahead of me, so I couldn't get a second one for my pal Richard. The maroon n' blue ones are sold out, AGAIN!!!! 1 1
