Over 250,000 people turned out in Dublin City today for Flightfest.

This was a truly historic event involving more than 30 aircraft flying at low level following the path of the Liffey right through the centre of Dublin.

Each Aircraft undertook either two or three flypasts along the River to keep the crowds entertained.

I was positioned at Poolbeg for 3 hour flypast and my photos are now online at

Enjoy!

Excellent photos as always Wanderer.

Twas a great show, I was on Sir John Rogersons Quay watching it. So glad the weather came good.... Seeing that A380 banking in around the Poolbeg towers made for an awsome spectacle :)

Yeah great shots as always wanderer, particularly the flying fortress ones :x. From what I hear from one of the pilots (a skytrucker) on the day, it far and above exceeded expectations in terms of turnout, atmosphere, and crowd stamina, for what is little more than looking up at the sky and waiting. At least that's what they had thought. Plus over half of the world's aviation fleet is managed from Ireland, so apparently a lot of greasy handshaking was done also, chances are, it will be back, perhaps rolled in with the Docklands Festival.
