Jawfin Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Great article - I imagine that the, "Mobile Office," refers to the Dargan Saloon, 47? Quote
DiveController Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Interesting article, not sure why he did not gain prominence in Ireland. This was an amazing feat just several years after the Great Famine when that work was probably very welcome. Quote

Ah, but he has received some recognition - the Dargan Bridge in Belfast? There is a biography of him, which you can buy through my operation "The Syndicate" for about €25 for a hardback (no out of print). There is now also a paperback. Send me a PM if interested. Profit to the RPSI. Leslie Quote
minister_for_hardship Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 IIRC, he declined a knighthood as well. Quote
