The 08 returned to the factory sidings today-being hauled there by 56 070…which then was used to haul ballast hoppers out of the siding for overnight ballasting work on Ashburton grove.

Evening HSTs pass through Ashburton grove as 37251 propels the inspection saloon passing the freight train which will be shunted shortly. 
Natural morning sunlight lights up the National Express plaxton coach.

24081 on an auxiliary TPO working

58003 passes a speeding HST while working an MGR working

50049 has charge of a stock transfer composed of a Mk3 sleeper,standard Mk3 and a dining Mk3 complete with a Mk2 DBSO.

31130 hauling the impressive revolution trains cartic 4  Motorail wagons through Ashburton grove while enroute to Leeds.

Love the 59’s!

Have missed out on the last few Ashburton Grove updates as the posts get buried so quickly under the avalanche, and am only catching up, now.

The fleet of BR blue locos are just lovely!

Love the test cars too! People seem to love the RTC red/blue but the later test car livery was also excellent. By the time I worked there the stock was mostly in Railtrack liveries.

The superb revolution trains inspection car “Caroline” is a new addition to Ashburton grove -seen here being propelled by 37 242.

37 261 has worked the inspection saloon into the factory sidings on Ashburton grove-the engineers annual visit to inspect the location.

The 37 and 08 share the shunting and making up of freight trains from the factory sidings. 
Those BELL containers end up anywhere……

The class 40 assists with the shunting at the factory sidings while the new class 59 gets to grips with a heavy MGR train.

I purchased it two years later from the Wexford club….with the intention of doing a BR blue and grey themed layout which was achieved over the past few years.

44007 has settled in nicely-and is seen here shunting the 102t tankers out to the loop for onward dispatch for refilling.
