steventrain Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Changes to our Hornby 2016 range. Withdrawals from our 2016 range, and items that have been moved to our 2017 range. http://www.hornby.com/uk-en/news/changes-to-our-hornby-2016-range/ Quote
DiveController Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 That's a lot of deferrals to 2017. I wonder if the relative strength of the dollar is putting this off? Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Hornby send out an order catalogue during the year If there are not enough orders for certain models they deferr them I feel though that this is more serious than a lack of orders Quote
DJM Dave Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 That's a lot of deferrals to 2017. I wonder if the relative strength of the dollar is putting this off? To be fair to them, I think your correct. It's affected me even though I tried to mitigate for it, so Lord knows what it's done to their cash flow projections. Quote
Mayner Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 The underlying problem may be market saturation in the British RTR market as opposed to exchange rates. Hornby still seems to be geared to high volume production while Heljan and "the comissioners' appear to have carved out a niche market for high value low volume run models. Quote
Georgeconna Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Channel Packet Delayed and the Adams Tanks. Bummer. Quote
