DJ Dangerous Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Have just caught up on Belmullet, after seeing the post in the trade section offering the layout free to a good home. Aside from being mind-blowingly good to look at, the behind-the-scenes info on the preparation for a show is a real eye-opener. I don't think I'd have appreciated just what goes into exhibiting a layout! Thank you for this wonderful layout. Whoever offers it a home will be very very lucky, whether they're a seasoned builder like yourself, or just a railway fanatic who buys one or two locos from you to run on it. 5 1 Quote
Bob49 Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 It's tempting but as a club of one there is a limit on the size of a layout I can operate on my own at an exhibition. Marc Quote
Westcorkrailway Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 I’d love to have it, particularly after all the 0/7mm Gauge propaganda thrown in my face today!!! problem is such a maticulously designed layout probobly belongs in a place like Hell’s Kitchen Castlerea, Maam cross, kilmitagh, dunsandle or ballygluin. Basically any MGWR based meuseum Quote
David Holman Posted October 29, 2023 Author Posted October 29, 2023 Seems there has been a fair bit of interest in Belmullet, including approaching 600 views on the 'free to a good home' page. Several folk has asked for more info, so there is now a queue and am hoping to be able to find a new owner soon. Many thanks for all the positive comments. 7 Quote
