gm171 kk
What are people's thoughts on the stainless steel bullhead provided by Dccconcepts? From what I've seen they're less expensive than the standard Peco stuff?
RedRich
I have not seen it first hand people I know that use it speak very highly of it. I have used steel rail in the past and it looks so right when compared to nickel silver. That isn't to say that nickle silver is wrong the look of the top of the rail looks more convincing on the steel rail. DCC Concepts will supply you with the correct solder for steel rail also Rich,
jhb171achill
What way is it rust protected, or how efficiently?

It'll probably just be the material used, though I can't see what grade they're using. Most 'stainless' steels are based on fairly high proportions of chromium and nickel, plus a few other elements. The protective oxides that form can have insulating properties, which might not be what you want, if expecting to take power or data from the track Presumably, they have investigated that aspect thoroughly and found no problems. 2
