One of my A30s could do with a bit of that treatment. Thanks, I always try to get them looking like they would have done. Some times it can take ages to find the right photo for the look I want.
connollystn Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 You most certainly got the right look with that class 50 [004]. I've seen older models which have moulded rather than separately applied parts and a splash of weathering has taken them up to another level. 1 1
Si2020 Posted June 15, 2023 Author Posted June 15, 2023 Has it been almost a year since I posted in here. Now the big trainset has had its outing its time to make a start on getting Thorne Yard ready for the trip to GETs in October. It will be uncarted over the summmer and given a check over and some of those little 5 min jobs which need doing, like signs replacning. wiring up the yard lights and a few others that I cant remember off the top of my head. So, whilst the work gets under way here is another photo for you, 1 1
Si2020 Posted July 31, 2023 Author Posted July 31, 2023 (edited) Hi, So as the show approaches a few of the long term stock projects start making their way to the bench to be finshed off. One such model is 37 417, which has been sat on the shelf for more years than it should have. Seen here out side the shed on Thorne yard awaiting the fitters to install the sound and speaker. Si2020 Posted October 1, 2023 Author Posted October 1, 2023 (edited) Not sue where the time has gone over the past few months. With the GETs show only a couple weeks away, I thought it was about time I posted up another pic of 08419 in the yard making up the next departmental rake. Edited October 1, 2023 by Si2020 9 1
DJ Dangerous Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Everything about this layout is on the ball. The blue stock, the trackwork, the scenery, the weathering, it all just comes together perfectly. 3 1 1

Looking at the photo reminds me that I need to get some more point levers to replace the ones that have been knocked off whilst track cleaning. Edited October 4, 2023 by Si2020 1
Si2020 Posted January 1, 2024 Author Posted January 1, 2024 (edited) Happy new year to you all, So not much has happened since the last update back in October. Managed to make The Great Electric Train Show, didn't make it to Falkirk for various reasons. Whilst we had the layout up at GETS, I got chance to give 37027 a run out. Nice and smooth and never missed a beat. Just needs a bit of weathering now. Edited January 1, 2024 by Si2020 8 1
