  1. Superb!!!!!!! More pics please!
  2. Wow wow wow!!!!!!!!! Especially love the shots of my crane, can't wait to have it moved to Belfast harbour soon!
  3. Yes!! Somewhere like Lurgan, where level crossings sepearte the town! You could have hoodies with petrol bombs poised on each side!
  4. Didn't know liner trains ever went to Larne harbour! Anyone know when these trains stopped? Great pics Richie!
  5. Really missed seeing this layout's updates! Love the bridge and the idea!
  6. I'd agree with Boskonay here. 141s are quite small, good for a shunting layout, and you could maybe have some cement bubbles or something! I think you'd almost be wasting the range of good quality OO gauge stock available.
  7. Ah yeah, but I was just in the car on the way to a wedding in Belmullet, so was there for 2 mins! I'd go there if I had more time!
  8. I'm really looking forward to seeing this now! Like Waterford or something?
  9. Brilliant! A port, or something like Ballina? Looking forward to seeing how it turns out, I love container freight!
  10. Thanks lads! Couple more pics from the return journey, 234 was stapled in the yard, the pocket wagons were in the crossmolina siding, and 215 was way up at the other end with its liner.
  11. Great video! Layout sounds good. Do you have any idea what era it will be or where it will be set?
  12. I meant 8208 haha! And could also have a C3k there as well!
  13. superb! Do you have an NIR depot? 111, 112, 113 and 208 would look great all together outside!
  14. Few pics from ballina yesterday where the sun was totally in the wrong place! Freight yard was a hive of activity as usual.
  15. Few pics from ballina yesterday where the sun was totally in the wrong place! Freight yard was a hive of activity as usual.
  16. Oh yeah, I was there a while back. Quite interesting, there was a wee spur off to the sport which crossed quite a busy street on it's way! There were also the Talgo "trenhotel" night trains going north to Barcelona, I always liked them.
  17. I suppose you could always pretend the Bleach Green line opened earlier, then you could have the timber trains going to Derry! You could also have a pretty good variety of rolling stock, with both IE and NIR mk2s, mk3 push-pulls, even Cravens being hauled by 201s and 071s!
  18. Yeah, it's actually quite nice and airy inside. And it's near enough the centre to be honest, and I agree with Boskonay about it being nice to model something ugly. The platforms have nice curvature too
  19. Great points from Rich and Rob. It was the first "loco" I'd travelled behind, after the 80s and the Castle Class. I travelled behind it and the mk2s to Dublin on a Sunday enterprise service, and then much later on I travelled behind it and the mk3s to Galway. It was also quite a frequent runner up to Adelaide yard with the Derry-Waterford timber, so I saw quite a bit of it.
  20. Yes I do! Favourite loco of the fleet by far!
  21. Excellent! I love the story, very well thought-out!
  22. As my layout is pretty small, and a terminus to fiddle yard layout, I think they'll work well on it (if it ever gets finished!!!! ), because they're only ever going to be moving slowly. I agree with you, you can't replicate the thud as it thunders past, but it depends of the layout.
  23. Just saw a 201 in intercity livery whizz past my house LE. I don't think I've seen anything go past here that fast towards Dublin! Maybe it was just because it was light engine... anyone know the purpose?
  24. Great pics Kev! I noticed 113 going past my house in the direction of Lisburn earlier on and then coming back towards Belfast not long after! Anyone know what it was doing?
  25. Excellent! Is that your layout, any chance of some pics?
