Ah come on, Lego is still awesome.
Look at these random sets of blocks - no instructions necessary!

https://www.ebay.es/itm/295432007487
And when I was a kid, I'd have killed for something like these two:

Without them, nothing that I made actually floated.
I guess if we'd had blue carpet, it might have helped...
Those boats needed a large weight as a keel in order to float properly. We have some back in the day, Great in the bath!

First decent snowfall of the season. Funnily enough it was crunchy and crispy down low but pure soft powdery higher up. Tiring especially on the slopes. Just a few photos. When I was leaving this morning about 10.30am the Mrs informed me that it was -3 degrees according to her phone. Funnily enough when I was putting my gear into the car I gathered that I would not be wearing shorts....
nice only looking at the Knocklmealdowns at lunchtime, only a sprinkling compared to this.

Two UK base companies which have called time are Eileen's Emporium the best supplier for all those small parts one needs and Coopercraft.
This second company has already been broken up with Cambrian Models taking over the Cooper Craft wagon Range.
What is going to happen to Eileen's Emporium stock no one know for sure, but if anyone know of a similar supplier please let us all know.
I guess what is needed for the Scratch/Kit builder is an extension of the Terry Mc Dermott (TMD & SSM Kits) range. on the lines of something like Worsley Works.
I don't know for sure how many kits John has been able to sell from New Zealand, but ONe company from Aussie (Outback Models) have had to stop the production and selling of their 4mm scale Lynton and Barnstaple Railway Station kit range, due to the high cost of shipping.
As things stand right now I can't see myself or the Bank Account, accepting any more models for the next few months.

Ah Eileens is gone....Bad news for sure. Only Shopped with them in Telford last month. Damn. Having said that I virtually spend zero on the UK models shops these days where before an order for a few bits and bobs here and there would not draw and extra 3.50 service fee from anpost.

Post war the initial Marineflieger used British aircraft as they used the Royal Navy to rehabilitate it. They still use Lynx and Sea King helicopters, and historically used Hawker Sea Hawks and Percival Pembroke (which was their first aircraft since the 1930s when all aviation moved to the Luftwaffe). They also used Tornados which were part British
'Winkle' Brown no doubt had a input into the Aeroplanes flown post war by the Germans The Incredible ‘Winkle’ Brown (historynet.com)
In 1958 Brown was detached to Germany to help set up the German naval air arm at Kiel and Schleswig, starting with Sea Hawks and Fairey Gannets. Promoted to captain in December 1960, he was appointed air deputy director of the Gunnery Division at the Admiralty, becoming heavily involved in the battle to acquire the Phantom II for the Royal Navy. Then it was back to Germany as naval attaché in Bonn.
I have an AEW version on the go too.

Hi all,
My Dad picked this one up at the IPMS show in Dublin this year but was unable to make it so was handed over to muggins to make.
As Humbrol has disappeared from Marks and Revell Stock Well depleted I resorted to AK 3rd Gen Acrylics.
A big step after 40 years of Enamels. Testing using the bottom feed airbrush was a disaster with clogging and splutter. Remembering I purchased a Top Feed Badger Infinity just before I moved from Marks Models so dragged that out and hey presto result. The AK stuff was sprayed using no primer and masked over with no issues however the paint is easily scratched off the plastic so the next Gannet will have primer on it so hopefully will be a bit more tougher!
Once done an oil pin wash was done and wiped away highlighting the lines.
Overall happy with the result.

My money is on IRM producing a model of the GSR 800 class locomotives, most people would want a few of those and ideal for anyone modeling the mid-50s.
I wont complain about that

Would they be covered in HO?

@Warbonnet, that's very decent of IRM. Pity you're not the landlord of my local pub, he increased the price of a pint [Heineken] by 20 cent yesterday - I am incensed. Will not darken the door of that pub for a very long time.

I see that Sam has posted a video on YouTube about 'Mean Comments'. Didn't think he read posts on this website. As suggested by someone on here, I didn't click on his Channel.
I took a look, His Missus running that one, Skipped through it.
