  1. High praise, thank you
  2. Mk2 EGV got the weathering treatment. Your thoughts as always appreciated.
  3. I was tempted too as a challenge haha
  4. Same as eating an elephant, one bite at a time
  5. I'm always impressed by the level of craftsmanship that go into these builds.
  6. Barracks Street is now on YouTube. You can follow the progress of the layout throughout the build. Hope you enjoy. Chris
  7. Yes, it is my hope when completed that I will take it to exhibitions
  8. Progress continues on the scenery and is nearing a stage of completion that I'm happy with in this area of the layout. Your thoughts and comments are as always appreciated.
  9. One of the strippers I use does state that it can be used on resin however I have never used it on such a surface. I'll include a link for you to make your own determination. https://eirehobbies.com/products/paint-remover-240-ml?_pos=1&_sid=53296aa35&_ss=r
  10. IRrailways offer a weathering service for all locomotives ranging from faint to heavy. To the customers own requirements. Below are a few examples. DM for enquiries and pricing.
  11. I'll try go back and find the article for you @DJ Dangerous. But just to clarify my position, I think technology like this would be of more benefit as like I have stated we would be converting various vehicles already in existence environmentally.
  12. I'm not saying hydrogen is the answer but I think in this age we can create a fuel to use in a combustion engine that would produce zero emissions, using vehicles already in existence without spending six times more emissions to build an EV, hybrid waste of time
  13. Plus we don't have the power generation ability as a nation to supply the draw of power required to charge an electric vehicle for everyone. It would be the ultimate recycling or green eco friendly or insert term here move to use and convert modes of transport that have already been produced.
  14. I think this is deadly. Instead of all that EV nonsense which cost more to produce in emissions then regular combustion the likes of conversion of regular engine to fuels like these will help offset the emissions they have already produced over their lifetime. Jcb has done similar tests and proof of concept work themselves. Plus it would be a true testament to these locomotives if they served the network past 100
  15. Thank you. As I've said many times the buildings and now the bridge has been the must enjoyable part of it all and it has to be said a challenge given I'm working off video
  16. Thanks Rob, it's great to finally run some trains again
  17. High praise indeed. Just need to build up the courage to program it
  18. Cause sometimes you just want to run trains. 20230904_105644.mp4 20230904_105935.mp4
  19. The curtains were actually in place right up until the yard closed.
  20. The scene continues to slowly develop. Here no.156 carries out some shunting of a loaded container flat. More weathering and scenery work will follow but for now this is the only part of the layout to get any due to working around the bridge supports themselves. Your thoughts and comments as always are appreciated. Chris
  21. Thank you very much. A lot of screen shoots were taken which has allowed me to pick out a lot of those details
