The possibility of a RTR 20ft wagon chassis?
WRENNEIRE replied to leslie10646's topic in General Chat
Have to disagree with you there Stevie While I do agree with encouraging the small band of guys who are out there producing RTR Irish models if the model is wrong or not up to scratch it should be brought to everyone's attention Remember that while they have a love of Irish railways at heart they are also in it to make money, lets call a spade a spade. If the faults are brought to everyone's attention the buyer can still buy if he is aware of the faults and finds them acceptable It also puts pressure on the manufacturer to up his game & improve his product ala Eoins DART. I personally paid a fortune for 2 items that were only fit for the bin when they arrived, so should I have filled a page telling everyone what should have been better. because there was nothing good about it? In the end though I suppose it will remain with the buyer if he wants to buy a model which is correct in all aspects, he is going to pay heavily for it or if he wants something that vaguely represents an Irish model at a cheap price, Come back M.I.R. please! -

Varadkar's plan to close railways
WRENNEIRE replied to BosKonay's topic in What's happening on the network?
The reason subvention is paid is because the rail system does not make money, OK? So now because it is not making money they propose to reduce or stop the subvention? And I did honours maths....... -

Anything to do with April first?
-
Almost 2000 views since I posted the question and I get 4 replies I can see why Glenderg got the hump when he was posting in the RTR 20' Wagon Chassis thread Say something people, it makes all the hard work worthwhile Anyway this is just for me, Small company in Holland called EFSI They were approached by an Irish retailer at a trade show and produced a small range of Irish vehicles, somewhat similar to Lima with their Class 33 & Hornby with their Hymek These 2 models are HO Gauge 40' Bell container with a Merc Cab Bus Eireann Expressway There are a few more models that I will post up later in the week

Might be a cheap wheelchair Paul?
-
Some sad news today troops Bob Gregson (AKA BobFlob on eBay) passed away over the weekend Bob was a regular at the Stillorgan show and indeed the older Clontarf show Wheelchair bound for the last 7 years or so he still made it over regularly from Accrington in Lancs Indeed I went over to see him in 2002 when there were strong rumours of David Ginola signing for Accrington Stanley He didnt sign but I still had to go and see Stanley play against Gainsborough Trinity. Funny the things you remember at a sad time D'fhéadfadh go mbeadh Dia trócaire ar a anam.
