  6. Traders should have their quotas in time for the show, so I am told
  7. Frank Locomotives & Rolling Stock of Coras Iompair Eireann & Northern Ireland Railways by O. Doyle & S. Hirsch do not list any Horseboxes The book was published in 1979 but ststes that when CIE was nationalised in 1950 it began a stock replacement programme which resulted in the almost complete elimination of pre CIE vehicles by 1960, CIE also had a road transport devision at this time and may have moved horses by truck?
  8. Steve, thanks for the input, I think they were a large department store and would have stocked sets for Christmas, so were not recognised as a srockist Fran, the polly insert was generic and as the set only contains 4 wagons the "Extra Storage Space" stickers were placed in the empty slots, The Slainte Express had a similar empty slot as it only contained 2 coaches whereas the similar UK BR version had 3
  9. Funny old hobby this A couple of weeks ago I have never heard nor seen a Hornby "C.I.E. Superfreight set" Now I have a second! Different guy to the one I got the first one from Both sets bought in Bray I see there is a "Bests" price tag on this set £19.95 in old money! Anyone know anything about the shop? Its a 1977 issue set so that will be somewhere to start from.

  22. Cant wait for 2pm Come on Katie "WTF is Chuck Norris" Taylor!
  23. There is no Bachmann factory Bachmann do not make anything The reference to Bachmann on the MM site was an error, it will be removed in the next few days Bachmann is an OEM of Kader, same as Murphy Models It actually does make a difference in that MM now owns the tooling, unlike when Lima produced the 201's and did not give the rights of the tooling to MM
  24. David This has been spoken of here before Read the box. Murphy Models! Bachmann have played no hand act or part in the production of these locos. I don't think Bachmann would print "Nil se oiraunach do phaisti faoi 14 bliana d'aois." on their boxes would you?
  25. Troops Looking for 146 & 184 in mint boxed condition Will swap for any other 141/181 you would like Thanks in advance!
